Once Upon A Time Examples

I chose to do my examples from the show that I am still watching. At this point, the storyline relates to Arthur of Camelot and Merlin the wizard. Most of these clips focus on Merlin, the magical wizard.  Parallelism: for this type of edit I chose to compare the sun and a mirage that the characters were seeing. When watching, I noticed how the scene started off with a view of the sun, and then went down to the characters. I continued watching and noticed the twinkling light of the mirage, which reminded me of the bright sun at the beginning of the episode. These two scenes were connected through a matching element, being the bright light. Contrast: the shots I chose to compare showed the difference between the barren, arid wasteland and the beautiful, lush countryside. Film Opening Research #1 - The Terminator

1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?  Only two titles are displayed before the movie starts "An ORION Pictures Release" and "Hemdale Presents a Pacific Western Production of A James Cameron Film".   After the brief introduction, the credits are listed, followed by the title of the movie.  2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The opening scene starts with showing a dark spooky place with few barren trees. There is also a place and time stamp reading "Los Angeles 2029 A.D.". A space ship of some kind then appears overhead, shining a beam on the ground below. The ship creates wind, which stirs the ground creating an uprise of dust. The space ships then shoot lazers everyone on the ground, bombs explode, machines run over skulls and bones, and soldiers run.    3. 12 amazing shots

1. Point of view shot- this was shot at my point of view, however it was difficult to film with both of my hands in front of me, so I had to have someone else hold the camera for me while I stuck out my hands. 2. High angle shot- this clip was easier to take, all I had to do was find a spot that could look down over other people and take a video looking down. 3. Dolly shot- this shot was somewhat difficult because it was hard to stabilise the camera while walking towards the people. 4. Extreme close up- this shot also would have been better if the camera was stabilised, but I was also surprised at how good the quality was. 5. Flash- I'm not sure how significant this would be in an actual movie, as it didn't show much, which I guess was the point. I don't know it was just weird 6. Low-angle shot- this one was very uncomfortable for everyone involved. It was just weird to film at this angle and I feel like it didn't do well at showing anything else b...
